Exercise #5

Benefits summary

1) The first benefit is "improved attention and observation."

An example from my real life is when I decided to buy a new laptop because I had a laptop with windows software, it takes a long time to start and the system has a glitch on it. Therefore, I started to search on the Internet about other types of a laptop like APPLE laptops. Moreover, I even asked my friend who has an APPLE laptop about how does it works and is it easy or hard to use. Also, I asked him about the options of the laptop.

2) The second benefit is "more focused reading"

An example when I wanted to travel to Australia, I was reading on the Internet about this country. In addition, I used instagram program to search about some pictures there and I read some comments about pictures to get more information about the places there. Also I asked my brother because he went to Sydney and he told me about the life and how their routine day works.

3) The third benefit is, “Improved ability to identify the key points in a text or other message rather than becoming distracted by less important material.”

The example for this benefit from my life is when I was studying for the IELTS in HCT foundation. Anyway, I learned how to skim and scan the important words from the articles to get the idea in short time. Furthermore, I can use the important words to make summary that is conclude the whole idea.

4) The fourth benefit is, “Improved ability to respond to the appropriate points in a message”

An example for that from my real life is when I was on the meeting and the presenter was talking about something I should take some notice that help me to focus more in the meeting without missing some information and to get the whole idea. Additionally, some times I record the whole meeting if it is possible then I repeat it with my self to get the correct idea.

5) The fifth benefit is, “Knowledge of how to get your own point across more easily”

An example from my real life is when I had a presentation about Samsung Company. After that when I finished the presentation I made a video about Samsung for students to get the information more easily if someone was confused with me when I presented.

6) The final benefit is, “Skills of analysis that you can choose to apply in a variety of situations”

The Finally example for that is when I read about APPLE laptop I saw there more options than windows software and it is hard to be hacked. Also when I have searched and saw some pictures about Australia I got more information that I didn’t know about it that have made interested me to go there.
